Older refurbished systems (up to the i7-7700) do not support Windows 11, with Windows 10 “end of support” scheduled for October 2025 (you can still continue using Windows 10 indefinitely after this date, but will no longer get security patches and updates). Newer refurbished systems with Windows 11 support are still in high demand and don’t represent the best value for money (performance wise) compared to new systems. For this reason alone, buying a new system will offer better long term investment protection.
